Regional Fitness Manager: Role, Expectations, and Responsibilities

The New Jersey Regional Fitness Manager at Empire Portfolio Group is a key leadership role, overseeing the fitness department within your assigned region. A focus on recruiting top talent and developing/training your team is critical. As part of your role, the Regional Fitness Manager will not only be responsible for making sure that brand consistency is achieved every day, but to also make sure that you are a vital part of achieving certain Key Performance Indictors (KPI) to ensure the growth of your studios. In addition, this role will also heavily focus on the recruitment, assessment and development of our core product—the coaches. The role requires a mix of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and hands-on leadership. Managers are empowered to make decisions autonomously while handling both routine and unforeseen challenges. Success in this position depends on the recruitment and development of top talent, team leadership, and effective communication.

Position Requirements

• A salaried employee with the primary focus on working alongside the Regional Sales/Operations Manager to achieve all studio End of Year goals
• Coach at least 3 classes per week and no more than 8 classes per week.
• Responsible for recruiting, evaluating and developing coaches
• Is responsible for relaying and upholding Corporate fitness guidelines
• Must attend all mandatory Corporate and regional meetings
• Work with the Managers to create the schedule for the studios
• Supervise and audit Coaches’ OU Education and outside certifications
• Audit and delegate all Listen360 responses that are fitness related
• Report to the Regional Sales/Operations Manager of designated region
• Assess and increase the production (i.e. KPI) of the region to achieve respective studio monthly, quarterly, and end-of-year goals
• Directly manage studios and oversee assigned studios in your region
