Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding our residential roofing business by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities through insurance claims and referral channels. This role combines technical expertise in roofing inspections with strategic sales acumen, enabling you to serve as both an inspector and a trusted advisor to homeowners navigating the complexities of insurance claims. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project transitions from inspection to execution while fostering strong relationships with clients, insurance agents, and referral partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Roofing Inspections & Assessments:
- Conduct thorough on-site residential roofing inspections to assess damage, determine repair or replacement needs, and document findings.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports that serve as the basis for insurance claims and customer proposals.
- Sales & Business Development:
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities through proactive engagement with insurance companies, agents, and referral networks.
- Present roofing solutions and service offerings to homeowners, explaining the benefits and process of working with Empire Roofing and Construction.
- Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals.
- Insurance Claims Management:
- Work closely with homeowners and insurance adjusters to navigate the claims process, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of roofing damage.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance-related inquiries, providing guidance and support throughout the claims process.
- Relationship Building & Networking:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including insurance professionals, real estate agents, and local community partners.
- Represent the company at industry events, community meetings, and trade shows to increase brand visibility and generate referrals.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Coordinate with project managers, field crews, and administrative staff to ensure seamless execution of roofing projects.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on sales pipeline, market trends, and business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the construction, roofing, or home improvement sectors.
- Proven experience in handling insurance claims and understanding residential roofing systems is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong technical aptitude in roofing inspection and construction practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications in roofing inspection or insurance claims handling will be an asset.
