JOB SUMMARY:
Works close with leadership to help mentor other Technicians and ensure effective and efficient production through the lab to ensure client satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Fully perform all essential functions of a Fluids Analysis Tech I.
Operate all lab instrumentation without assistance and/or supervision in an efficient and effective manner.
Provide in lab, on the job training to all Fluids Analysis Tech I employees.
Learn about ISO standards and assist ISO Champion to ensure certification adherance.
Perform coolant analysis and interpretations.
Demonstrate leadership skills in assistance with Lab supervision.
Must work well with the team to follow Empire’s values and be part of a cohesive team.
Calibrate, set peaks and perform essential maintenance of lab instruments.
Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Advise team leader on low material stock levels.
Prepare, invoice and ship sampling materials and supplies to customers.
Maintain customer data, files, and reports utilizing computer systems.
Present lab tours as required.
Maintain a current training list and works with leader to accomplish training requirements, wants/needs.
Learn Scheduled Oil Samples (SOS) client presentation in preparation for client training opportunites.
Learn SOS Web and set up internal and external clients with access to system.
Work within and promote corporate values.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of instrumentation and data processing procedures and ability to keep equipment updated to the latest standards.
Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with others.
Ability to learn, retain and implement information.
Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies and use of all required safety equipment.
Must have acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Prior experience in the equipment industry preferred but not required.
Prior fluids lab experience preferred.
Prior presentation experience a plus.
Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
