BASIC FUNCTION:
- Research
- Data collection
WORK PERFORMED:
- Market Research – Research opportunities in foreign markets appropriate to New York State industries, with a particular emphasis on the strategic industries in all 10 regions. Develop and maintain a document that includes market research findings. Use REDC reports as a basis for the strategic industries and regional plans for export promotion.
- Data Collection and Analysis – Research and compile information on export trade statistics for New York State for meetings and events.
- Special Projects - Assist with the development and implementation of targeted trade projects, such as case studies and development of in person and virtual events.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education level required: Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program focused on International Relations or similar area.
Knowledge Required:
- Strong internet research and basic data analysis experience required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present research in both written form and orally.
- Ability to collect key information from numerous sources.
- Good understanding of world geography.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Some knowledge of international protocol.
*You will be required to be in person at least four days per week in the NYC office
APPROXIMATE HIRING SALARY: $17.00/hr
