BASIC FUNCTION:
The Senior Director will be responsible for advancing operational initiatives and coordinating with the Human Resource and Information Technology teams to advance administrative priorities. The incumbent will have responsibility for specific functional areas, and will be expected to assist the EVP, Administration to coordinate and carry out Administration projects.
WORK PERFORMED:
- Lead efforts with Regional Directors and Department Heads to address space needs and initiatives statewide. This includes identifying potential new work locations, renovation projects, and coordinating efforts with OGS and others as needed.
- Oversee ESD’s Emergency Operations and Response planning initiatives - including internal communications and external agency reporting.
- Coordinate ESD fleet utilization and transition to electric vehicles consistent with NYS directives.
- Expand and monitor ESD digitization efforts across all ESD offices.
- Travel between ESD offices and other sites as required
- Assist DED Finance team with DED grantmaking and budgeting activities.
- Coordinate projects with Information Technology and Human Resources as directed.
- Manage other ESD projects as directed by the EVP.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Requirements
Education Level required: Associate degree or business school graduate in relevant area. Bachelors preferred.
Experience Required: Five (5) years of progressive administrative experience and experience with, or knowledge of, NYS Government operations and NYS SFS. Experience managing complex budget and financial modeling. Knowledge of/experience working with specialized consultants (e.g., space planning, digitization, etc.
Knowledge required: Must have proficient computer knowledge - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook along with experience in using Zoom & Microsoft Teams. Some supervisory/staff oversight experience. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess the ability to work independently, exercise excellent judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
