Empire Truck Sales, LLC is one of the largest Freightliner/Western Star Heavy Truck Dealerships in the Southeast. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced diesel Lead Mechanic / Service Technician who is a self-starter and a quick learner to join our team in Columbus, Mississippi.
We are seeking technicians who have experience working on heavy trucks, equipment, rental, or leasing fleets, automobiles, forklifts, gen sets, oil changes, tire service, motorcycles, or any similar industry. If you currently are in a career as described or similar industry, have your own tools, can retain what you learn, and can turn that knowledge into production, we can start you on a better path!
If you are a mechanically inclined, dependable, hard worker with a strong work ethic wanting a career in the heavy truck field, then you may have just found your last job!
Qualifications
- Previous experience repairing and maintaining equipment, diesel heavy trucks or vehicles is required; three (3) or more years of heavy-truck repair experience is highly preferred.
- Freightliner, Detroit, and Cummins experience is a plus!
- Tools as required of a typical diesel technician or mechanic.
- Basic understanding of computers and computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite and other software on similar platforms that will be used to diagnose and document repairs.
- Analytical skills to diagnose complex problems.
- Must have a valid Driver's License with clean MVR
- Class A CDL License is a plus!
- Able to work scheduled shift
- Able to work overtime and/or weekends if needed
- Drive for Success
- Team player - willing to mentor and act as a lead technician.
