Empire Veterinary Hospitals - La Sierra Veterinary Clinic is focused on providing professional, affordable care for your dog or cat companion. We are a group of highly trained, experienced animal lovers who are devoted to giving our patients the best care possible. We are looking for a Client Service Representative who drives the flow of clients and pets through the hospital, maximizes the productivity of the veterinary medical team, ensures good communication with team members and clients, and coordinates the care of clients and pets in a welcoming, friendly, and efficient manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Handling inquiries and appointment setting
- Answer incoming phone calls, promptly with a warm welcoming tone
- Delivers content of phone scripts in a friendly conversational manner
- Mastery of phone system; knowledgeable about all key functions (e.g., parking, transferring, retrieving VM, etc.)
- Adept at navigating Practice Management System
- Highly efficient at setting appointments and managing appointment bookings
- Actively recruiting new clients by promoting hospital services
- Maximize number of pets seen through a “come on in now” communication style
Client service
- Assist clients in and out of the exam room – manage flow of clients
- Support the DVM in the exam room by documenting patient
- Deliver client education regarding preventative care
- Maintain and update client/patient records
- Take refill orders and accurately prepare the prescriptions
- Receive and accurately verify payments after each consultation

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Credentials and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- One or more years of veterinary experience required
