Staff Accountant (Short-Term with Potential for Long-Term)

Location: Short-Term - Chino, CA | Long-Term - Cerritos, CA & Chino, CA
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a sharp and detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a short-term project with the potential to transition into a long-term role. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with Sage 100 (MAS 90).
During the short-term phase, this role will be 100% based in Chino, CA. If offered a long-term position, the role will be split between Cerritos, CA and Chino, CA.
Key Responsibilities:

• Process AR and AP transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Utilize Excel for data analysis, reporting, reconciliation, and pivot tables.
• Work within Sage 100 (MAS 90) for accounting entries and financial tracking.
• Serve as a backup to Customer Service Representatives (CSR), including answering calls when needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accounting and operational needs.
• Maintain organized financial records and assist with general accounting tasks.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, data entry, basic analysis, and pivot tables.
• Experience in AR/AP (entry-level experience is acceptable).
• Experience with Sage 100 or MAS 90 is required
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
• Assertive, professional demeanor with strong business communication skills.
• Willingness to work 100% in Chino during the short-term phase and transition to both Cerritos and Chino if converted to a long-term role.
