Our client in South Carolina, is interested in hiring a Grain Miller to join their team! The ideal candidate will understand and following safety procedures, have strong communication and interpersonal skills. This individual will use critical thinking and possess teamwork skills.

What will you be doing?
- Running and monitoring machinery such as cleaning machines, de-stoners, rollers, sifters, and bagging systems to produce the desired grain product.
- Regularly testing grain samples to ensure quality standards are met, including moisture content, protein levels, and foreign material.
- Combining different types of grain to achieve specific desired characteristics in the final product.
- Identifying and resolving issues with milling equipment, performing basic maintenance tasks, and coordinating repairs when necessary.
- Scheduling milling operations based on customer orders and available grain supply.
- Maintaining detailed logs of milling activities, including production volumes, quality checks, and equipment adjustments.
- Adhering to safety protocols related to grain handling, machine operation, and workplace hygiene.
What do you bring?
- Positive, can-do attitude
- No experience needed with a Milling Science and Management Degree.
- 3-5 years minimum of experience without a Degree.
- Understanding of how milling equipment functions and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issue.
- Attention to detail - ability to carefully monitor quality and identify inconsistencies in the milling process.
- Basic math skills - calculating grain weights, blending ratios, and production yield.
- Physical stamina - ability to work in a demanding environment with potential for lifting heavy loads.
