Regional Field Service Technician

The Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible for maintaining air machines along assigned routes, and may also be asked to assist on other routes as needed. This role requires the technician to be fully trained and capable of servicing units efficiently. The FST will interact directly with customers and consumers, representing the company in a positive and professional manner. Additionally, the technician must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, exercising good judgment in all decision-making.

What will you be doing?
Safety:
- Always exhibits safe driving habits in every situation
- Maintains Driving License in good standing with state of issuance at all times
- Works safely with power circuits going into machines, ability to power off units as necessary to perform tasks as required.
- Works safely at the job site in terms of housekeeping and clearing the area they work in leaving it safe and clean for others.
- Works as a craftsmen, good work habits and uses the correct tools.
Machine Knowledge:
- Has an in-depth knowledge of the machines and how it operates
- Ability to diagnosis a non-working machine, quickly and efficiently.
- Can generally diagnosis and make a repair within 20-30 minutes of being on site
- Is able to carry out PM’s and machine upgrades.
- Can communicate over the phone on problems outside of normal scope when needing assistance.
Professionalism, Customer Facing:
- Is a personable and knowledgeable representative for our Client's company in the dealing with the customer and retail consumer.
- Professional and courteous in dealing with the public, good communication skills.
- Recognizes that the customer is always right, provides necessary feedback to supervisor rather than confront a customer.
Judgment and Decision Making:
- Works well with minimal supervision, ability to follow assigned route and communicate issues to Supervisor as needed.
- Demonstrates good judgment to the benefit of the customer and the company.
- Makes good decisions hour to hour about how to best accomplish the call list based on local traffic, weather and other circumstances.
- Makes good independent decisions, knows when to call supervisor for advice.
- Ability to complete assigned routes.
- Follows company practices, policies and guidelines, anticipates exceptions, and talks with supervisor in advance.
What do you bring?
- Requires a minimum of 2 years at ETG building, testing and troubleshooting air machines or similar technician experience, dealing with digital / mechanical equipment, credit card payment systems, cellular modems and on site customer interactions.
- Hands on mechanical skills with basic hand and power tools
- Practical knowledge/experience with 110V and low voltage circuits
- Ability to move machines from the delivery vehicle to the pad, weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Maturity and the ability to work independently
- Able to utilize GPS, Fleetmatics, and customer driven work order control systems
- Valid Driver’s License
- Be comfortable with traveling up to 90 miles outside the area.
