Our client, a recognized leader in the beverage industry, is seeking a Site Safety Manager to join their team in Elmsford, NY. As a Site Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in building and strengthening a proactive safety culture while driving regulatory compliance and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration skills, and a deep understanding of safety regulations and systems in a manufacturing environment.
The Site Safety Manager position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic safety initiatives to protect employees, ensure regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement across production, warehouse, and distribution operations.
Job Title: Site Safety Manager
Location: Elmsford, NY
Salary: $85k to $105k
Shift: 1st shift
Job Duties Include:
- Partner with Plant Manager to lead and promote a culture of “100% safe, 100% of the time”.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Design and deliver safety training, audits, inspections, and performance monitoring system.
- Develop and execute annual safety goals (LTIR, TRIR, etc.) and long-term strategies
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions
- Review of plant modifications and equipment changes for safety impacts
- Stop unsafe work activities and ensure appropriate corrective measures
- Utilize data to drive decision-making, accountability, and continuous safety improvements
- Create site-specific metrics, scorecards, and reports for senior leadership
What’s Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; tech-savvy and process-oriented
- Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, ISO 45001/14001, and other regulatory frameworks
- General industry certifications (OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER, etc.)
- Strong project management and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally
