What are the responsibilities and job description for the PHYSICAL THERAPIST position at Employee Benefits Fund?
We are an established health services organization in New York City seeking a Physical Therapist. This position will be responsible for conducting medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restore function, prevent disability following injury, disease or loss of body part. The individual will help patients reach maximum performance level. Evaluates patient’s level of physical functioning and provides training and/or assistive devices to eliminate or reduce areas of deficit, usually associated with gross motor disorders and functioning. Works with other professional staff to establish rehabilitation and maintenance goals and activities. Promotes excellent customer relations. Provides excellent customer service and contributes to team effort.
The Physical Therapist will be stationed primarily at one health center but must be able to float between locations in the event of a scheduled or unscheduled absence, or based on operational needs.
Education and Experience
- Graduate of Physical Therapy Program
- Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of New York
- Highly flexible with schedule in both time and location (able to work a mix of 7:30am-3:30pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm, or 11am-7pm shifts)
- At least 1 year of outpatient orthopedic experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative care team
- High energy and customer service oriented
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to navigate and use electronic medical records
- MDT (McKenzie) knowledge or training preferred (but not required)

Annual salary starts at $85,000.
