Position Summary:
This position educates an organization’s union members about the valuable benefit plans available to them and their families and enrolls members using various enrollment systems. Role requires a motivated and dynamic individual to work as a per diem benefit counselor with a select team of individuals. Perspective employees could expect 4-5 days of work per week, dependent on weather and conditions in the Chicago area. Flexible schedule and the opportunity for paid travel based on business needs. Generous flat daily rate for enrollments and training days.
Essential Functions:
1. Actively participates in case, enrollment, product, and systems training. Educate and enroll eligible employees through face-to-face and through enrollment website in benefit plans during benefit open enrollment periods.
2. Accurately and thoroughly complete and submit all benefit applications in compliance with data entry and data privacy policies and regulations. Conduct all business and actions according to highest possible standards of professional conduct. Maintain client and employee confidences and protect confidential and proprietary information obtained in the course of employment.
Requirements
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma required. Active appropriate state life and health insurance license(s) required.
Experience Requirements:
Basic computer and data entry skills, excellent customer service and communication skills, a willingness to work in a variety of conditions and environments (outdoor tents, transit garages or stations), ability to meet metrics and goals, a self-starter with a willingness to meet people and have fun!
