Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our team in Nephi, Utah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This position requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and gas lines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building codes to determine plumbing layouts.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, providing efficient solutions.
- Perform pipe fitting, soldering, and welding as needed.
- Work with a variety of plumbing materials, including PVC, copper, PEX, and cast iron.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with contractors, clients, and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each project.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
Requirements:
- Valid Utah Journeyman Plumber License (Required).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the plumbing trade.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting plumbing issues and making necessary repairs.
- Physical ability to perform plumbing work, including lifting heavy materials, working in confined spaces, and standing for long periods.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in both residential and commercial plumbing.
- Backflow prevention certification.
- Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems (a plus).
