As the Business Development Manager - Fluid Conveyance, you will play a key role in driving the growth and expansion of our hose manufacturing and fluid conveyance services, specifically focused on building a competitive operation to serve Tennessee, Arkansas & Mississippi. This position will involve identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, establishing a hydraulic hose fabrication shop, and strengthening relationships with both customers and vendor partners. As the Business Development Manager - Fluid Conveyance, you will play a key role in driving the growth and expansion of our hose manufacturing and fluid conveyance services, specifically focused on building a competitive operation to serve Tennessee, Arkansas & Mississippi. This position will involve identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, establishing a hydraulic hose fabrication shop, and strengthening relationships with both customers and vendor partners. Your leadership will be critical in shaping our fluid conveyance business and ensuring long-term success in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and oversee the production of a hose manufacturing service at the Memphis office
- Identify and target new Fluid Conveyance accounts to grow revenue within designated territories
- Conduct joint sales calls with local PMC Account Managers to expand Fluid Conveyance business at existing accounts
- Assist in establishing a hydraulic hose fabrication shop at the Flint Hydraulics facility in Memphis, TN
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and retention
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners to enhance service and supply chain efficiency
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve regional fluid conveyance goals, including sales targets, customer service benchmarks, and operational efficiencies
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- Bachelor's degree in industrial distribution, technical field, business administration, management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Certified Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist a plus
- Other technical certifications or degrees may be considered
- Experience as described below may be accepted in lieu of education
- Over five (5) years of experience in sales, operations, management, or technical fields
- Previous experience in hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, or automotive repair is strongly preferred
- Education as described above may be accepted in lieu of experience
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment is considered a plus
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
- Good personal motivation

- An exceptional working knowledge of fluid conveyance with a focus in mobile hydraulic applications
- Strong interpersonal skills
