- Make an Impact! The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is responsible and accountable for the provision of education to enhance the culture of safety, quality of patient care, and professional development for the nursing department. The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for orientation, training, competency validation, and continuing education of the nursing staff. Utilizing adult learning principles, the Clinical Nurse Educator demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to coach and support nursing staff in clinical advancement models, academic development, and role transition. In addition, the Clinical Nurse Educator will work with the interprofessional team to support team training initiatives.

The Clinical Nurse Educator actively participates and leads evidence based practice, contributes to clinical research and functions in accordance with professional practice standards as set forth by the American Nursing Association and Association for Nursing Professional Development, PA Nurse Practice Act, regulatory standards, and MLH policies and procedures.
- Join the Team! The Clinical Nurse Educator works collaboratively with other departments to ensure quality patient care and satisfaction. Acts as a leader and facilitator in shared decision-making initiatives at the clinical, departmental, and system levels, resulting in a superior patient experience. This individual collaborates at all levels to improve nursing professional development practice, influence others for positive change, and is a role model, mentor, and clinical coach. The Clinical Nurse Educator develops programs and curriculum to continue to enhance clinical excellence. Also acts as a consultant, planner, implementer, evaluator, and innovator for education initiatives.

Position: Per Diem, Clinical Nurse Educator- Med/Surg and Telemetry Units.
Shift: Minimum requirement of 24 hours per month; Varied shifts.
Location: Riddle Hospital in Media, PA with occasional travel to our other locations.
Experience:
Unit-specific. Prior Clinical Nurse Educator or other related educator experience.
Three to five years clinical experience in area of expertise preferred.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing. At least one degree must be in nursing (i.e., BSN or MSN). A Master’s degree is strongly preferred and may be in a related field if BSN is held.
Licensures/Certifications:
A current PA RN license. Certification in specialty area desired.
Salary : $63 - $70
