The Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for handling prior authorization requests from healthcare providers and ensuring that patients receive necessary medications by assisting in the approval process with insurance companies. Assists patients with financial coverage (i.e.. patient assistance programs). This position involves collaborating with pharmacists, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to navigate and expedite the prior authorization process. The role ensures accurate and timely completion of all required documentation, allowing patients to access prescribed therapies efficiently. Position: Pharmacy Technician, Prior Authorization
Shift: Day Shift- 8am-4:30pm- Mon-Fri- Occasional Saturday
Experience:
1 year experience in retail, specialty, hospital or infusion pharmacy required. Experience working in prior authorization/patient assistance role preferred.
Education:
High School or GED required.
Licensures/Certifications:
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required (PTCB)
Salary : $6,000
