Payrate: $19/hr on W2
About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Payment Processor to join our fast-paced lockbox operations team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone interested in launching a career in financial services and gaining hands-on experience in payment processing.
In this behind-the-scenes role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. Working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment, you’ll open, sort, and capture payments using proprietary systems while maintaining a sharp eye for detail.
What You’ll Do
- Open, review, sort, and process incoming payments
- Prepare and dispatch outbound packages
- Receive, log, and batch daily work for processing
- Scan, verify, and match data on financial documents
- Perform accurate 10-key data entry and basic calculations
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail distribution
- Follow detailed procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Escalate questions or discrepancies to senior team members as needed
Required Qualifications:
- 6 months of operations, administrative, or clerical experience
- (or equivalent demonstrated through work history, education, military, or training)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a structured team environment
- Comfortable working under deadlines in a production-oriented setting
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with 10-key numerical data entry
