Job Description:

Summary: 

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for expanding the sales of Dexter Laundry products within their assigned region of the US and Canada. This includes providing sales support and guidance to resellers and owners of Dexter commercial and industrial laundry products. As a key member of the North American Sales team, this role plays a pivotal role in influencing the strategic direction of the company’s growth plans and product development initiatives.​

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Ability to perform professional presentations to diverse audiences.

  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.

  • Ability to travel extensively across the US, Canada, and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Sales Targets:

    • Meet and exceed the assigned annual sales budget and targets.

    • Break down and manage specific budget responsibilities to ensure success.

  • Sales & Marketing Support:

    • Provide sales, marketing, and after-sales support to existing distributors to enhance market penetration.

    • Work with distributor principals to develop and implement marketing and promotional programs that boost sales of Dexter products.

  • Distributor Management:

    • Assist and advise distributors in areas like sales, merchandising, service training, and business management.

    • Assess distributor performance and create corrective action plans when needed.

    • Recommend distributor changes (such as terminations, appointments, territory realignments) and manage distributor relationships.

  • Market Expansion & Product Innovation:

    • Identify and explore new geographic markets for Dexter products.

    • Identify potential channel partners to expand product reach in new areas.

    • Spot new market segments and product opportunities in existing regions.

  • Reporting & Communication:

    • Keep management informed about regional sales performance, product issues, and customer activity through weekly reports and other communications.

    • Regularly report on product performance and address regional service issues, including safety and liability concerns.

  • Collaboration in Strategy Development:

    • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies and action plans.

    • Assist in product development and innovation efforts.

  • Personal Accountability:

    • Take ownership of business results and personal well-being.

    • Perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of regional sales experience.

    • Experience in a related industry, or with manufactured products, is strongly preferred.

  • Skills & Competencies:
