ERS is seeking a RPA Developer to perform highly complex to highly advanced (senior-level) designing, developing, and implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions. Work involves project planning and coordination; analyzing user requirements, procedures and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems; systems integration; and giving technical assistance to programming personnel. Works under limited to minimal supervision of the Build Team Leader and Software Engineering Manager, with considerable to extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the deployment of RPA solutions, including monitoring and maintaining existing automations to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and create RPA solutions using tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
- Analyze existing business processes to determine automation feasibility and develop comprehensive documentation.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of RPA workflows to ensure optimal performance and compliance with specifications.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical support during the RPA development lifecycle.
- Monitor unattended robots and coordinate support activities when bots fail.
- Support RPA deployments and troubleshoot RPA production issues outside of work hours (includes participation in an on-call rotation as-needed).
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in RPA technologies, recommending improvements and upgrades to existing solutions.
- Provide training and support to end-users and team members on RPA tools and best practices.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Attends work regularly in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies.
- Complies with all applicable agency policies and procedures, including safety and standards of conduct.
As a RPA VI, performs above duties in a highly-advanced manner with oversight and/or supervisory discretion. Completes projects that may have higher organization visibility and requires greater coordination across multiple divisions and customers. May also:
- Assist in analyzing and defining agency disaster recovery responsibilities and procedures.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Your application for employment must reflect how you meet each of the following minimum qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4 year college or university in business or technical field. Each year of related experience over the required minimum may be substituted for one year (30 semester hours) of college credit.
2. Four (4) to five (5) years of experience (depending on classification) of experience in RPA development, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
3. Four (4) to five (5) years of experience (depending on classification) of experience with RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, etc.) and experience with programming languages such as C#, .NET, or Python.
Preferred Qualifications: Your application for employment should reflect how you meet the following preferred qualifications:
4. Experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD).
5. Experience using project configuration and software release tools (such Azure Develops or similar) and adhering to a Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
6. Experience with code refactoring and code improvement.
