Mechanical Inspector

Job Title: Mechanical Inspector
Location: Brentwood, New York
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay: $25 – $35/hr

Duties:

• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections on all manufactured parts
• Maintain daily/weekly inspection schedules for all machines
• Collaborate with machinists to review inspection requirements before approving production
• Inspect incoming vendor-supplied parts and processes
• Conduct final inspections on outgoing parts for customers
• Supply necessary measuring equipment to shop floor personnel
• Perform internal calibration of measuring equipment in line with AS9100 standards
• Regularly report discrepancies to management

Qualifications:

• Strong math skills
• Experience with machine shop processes such as CNC milling, turning, grinding, and EDM
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Working knowledge of CMM usage and programming
• Proficiency with measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of GD&T
