What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employment Specialist position at Employers Overload?
Job Summary:
The Employment Specialist is responsible for supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve employment or positive community outcomes. All activities will be in alignment with our organizational vision and values. The Employment Specialist works within the guidelines of Employers Overload, laws, policies, contracts, and state/federal licensing requirements.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a background check and have a good driving record.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to think critically, analyze situations, organize, and develop solutions, and meet the demands of shifting priorities.
- Be proficient in use of technology, including Microsoft Office programs.
- Meet and maintain state and federal contract education and training requirements.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- CESP certified and or Highline Certified, preferred.
- Currently have or within 30 days of being hired CPR/First Aid license/Blood Borne Pathogen.
- Current driver license, car, and auto insurance with 100/300 coverage.
- Certifications in the field of expertise.
Pay/Benefits:
- Wage Range: $18.50 - $22.50 an hour, pending skill set and experience.
- FTE: Full Time= 40 hours with opportunity for overtime Location: Washington
- In-Person Interviews conducted. This position works directly on-site and community.
