What are the responsibilities and job description for the Remote Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist position at Employers?
At Employers, we are seeking a goal-oriented individual to join our team as a Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist. This is a remote opportunity that requires the ability to work independently and make timely decisions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing workers' compensation claims with low to moderate medical and indemnity benefit exposure and minimal litigation. They will analyze case facts to establish timely reserves, evaluate and pay benefits in compliance with statutory and company guidelines, and proactively coordinate or monitor medical treatment to continue to move the claim forward.
The ideal candidate will have one to two years of related claims, medical, legal or insurance industry experience and excellent communication and customer service skills. They will also have a strong ability to multi-task and prioritize, knowledge of workers' compensation laws, regulations and statutes, and certification such as WCCP, AIC, ARM, CPCU or other insurance certification.
