What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plumbing Service Technician (Commercial) position at EmployHQ?
Key Responsibilities:
- Review construction schedules, with assistance from department manager to maintain schedules to ensure timely completion of service calls.
- Coordinate project material and equipment needs, and deliveries.
- Analyzes systems and reviews findings to determine source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action. Double-checks work to prevent callbacks.
- Provides on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Completes and forwards service tickets in a comprehensive and legible fashion.
- Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.
- Responds to service calls in timely fashion, including after hours if assigned to provide emergency service.
- Attends schools and seminars to maintain and advance technical knowledge.
- Complies with company policies and procedures, focusing on safety compliance.
Qualifications:
- Driver’s license in good standing and good driving history is required.
- 10 years commercial service plumbing technician experience required.
- Trade school certificate and 2 years’ experience OR 5 years on job experience as service technician.
- Ability and willing to learn and improve.
- Available to work on-call and respond immediately to plumbing emergencies.
- Able to read technical designs and blueprints.
- Expert knowledge in piping and ventilation systems.
