What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preconstruction Manager position at EmployHQ?
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure projects are set up properly and executed at the highest standards.
- Will lead the preconstruction and estimating efforts and partner with project executives, project managers, and field managers.
- Manage multiple, complex estimating assignments.
- Execute multiple delivery methods including hard bid, negotiated and design bid.
- Prepare multiple budgets for clients at various design intervals including budgets at conceptual design, schematic design, design development and final GMP pricing.
- Provide thorough reconciliation and budget analysis for clients and internal review.
- Attend project site visits and pre-bid meetings.
- Define, prepare, and develop scopes of work and project bid packages.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or similar field.
- 5 years of experience in commercial construction.
- Proficient in Estimating Software such as Smartbid, Plan Swift or Bluebeam.
