What are the responsibilities and job description for the EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM REPRESENTATIVE position at Employment Development Department?
Under the supervision of Employment Program Manager I, the Employment Program Representative (EPR)-Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program (DVOP) Specialist assists veteran customers faced with significant barriers to employment through the delivery method of self-service, facilitated self-help, and staff-assisted intensive services. Promotes the programs and services offered by the Employment Development Department-Workforce Services (WS) Branch to job seekers, employers, workforce partners, and other community stakeholders. Provides employment services to veteran job seekers and recruitment assistance to employers following prescribed WS policies and procedures. Prepares and makes formal presentations regarding EDD-Workforce Services, benefits and features of CalJOBSSM to veterans, and engages audiences to utilize the America's Job Centers of California as a one-stop for employment and training services. Follow guidance under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Wagner-Peyser Act and primarily the Jobs for Veterans' State Grant (JVSG) funded activities. This position may require travel or be assigned to another office within the Cluster.

To be considered for the position, applicants must submit an SOQ along with their application. 1. As a Employment Program Representative (EPR)-Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program (DVOP) Specialist, you will be working closely with veterans to help them achieve their employment goals. Provide an example from your previous roles where you had to adapt your approach to meet the specific needs/goals of your customer. How did you ensure that the services provided were aligned with their goals and preferences?
Write your responses carefully. Initial evaluation of each applicant will be based on the content of the answers and written communication skills demonstrated on their submitted SOQ.
