Job Description And Duties
Come be a part of our dynamic support team in the San Bernardino Area Audit Office. We have an opening in the Technical Audit and Outreach Group, for one (1) Program Technician (PT) II to help provide vital support to our audit crews!
This position may be filled at either the Program Technician (PT) II level or at the Program Technician level for recruitment purposes!
Under the general direction of the Tax Administrator I, EDD, the PT II will be primarily responsible for responding to audit related inquiries and processing complex support work on moderately difficult or multifaceted issues in regard to employment taxes.
The PT II ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and policies and assists taxpayers in complying with the laws. Duties may consist of, information gathering, account analysis, and processing forms received to generate required account adjustments within the audit program using the Accounting and Compliance Enterprise System (ACES).
These functions require interaction with employers regarding employment tax issues of moderate difficulty, providing sensitive and detailed program information and/or direction to the public or other employees. The level and complexity of duties will be adjusted as needed for staff hired at the PT level.
