What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maryland Labor Rights Lawyer position at Employment Law Center of Maryland?
The Employment Law Center of Maryland is a nonprofit legal aid organization that fights for Maryland workers' rights. We're seeking an entry-level or mid-level attorney to represent employees in state and federal courts in discrimination, wrongful termination, and wage theft cases.

Your Role
You'll work closely with our team to:
- Represent clients in state and federal courts.
- Develop legal strategies and advocate for clients.
- Gather key evidence and litigate cases.
- Argue motions and represent clients in court.
Key Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A current license to practice law in Maryland.
- 0-3 years of civil litigation experience (new attorneys are encouraged to apply).
- The ability to work at least one day per week at our Urbana, MD office.
- A strong interest in civil rights and/or employment law.
