SGM is seeking a SUE Technician. Our ideal candidate will strongly desire to live, work, and play in Western Colorado! This position is open to candidates with or without prior experience, as SGM Inc. is willing to train the right person for the role. This job posting represents an opportunity for an individual to start/continue a career in Subsurface Utility Engineering with our company in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with a team to tackle a wide variety of utility projects.
- Utilizing a range of specialized technologies including electromagnetic line locators, ground penetrating radar, GPS, conventional survey, and vacuum excavation to help mitigate risks associated with new infrastructure design and construction.
- Identify and map complex subsurface utility installations, ultimately enhancing public safety and infrastructure development.
- Read and interpret utility records, as-built and survey drawings, and construction plans.
- Designate existing utilities using electromagnetic and geophysical technologies.
- Oversee the operation of vacuum excavation trucks and their staff, performing test holes to expose utilities.
- Utilize appropriate traffic management procedures.
- Represent the SGM in the field, communicating and coordinating with utility companies and project stakeholders.
