As Therapeutic Activity Specialist at Lincoln Glen Manor (https://lgmanor.org) an inviting, senior community offering four levels of care & extensive amenities across an appealing 6-acre campus- you will lead activities and assist in program development for our senior community (Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing and Memory Care).
We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, the ability to work individually and as part of a team, energetic, quick to learn, creative and enthusiastic, and support to those who need it most.
HIGHLIGHTS
Assist/escort residents to group activity programs
Coordinate and host group activity programs
Visit with residents 1:1
Plan and host special parties and celebrations
Interact and encourage residents and families to try group activity programs or to plan/provide input on their own
Interview residents and families r/t activity interests and needs
Assist with some paperwork and documentation
May also be cross-trained for reception.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent plus:
Experience working with seniors, working in facilities, dementia training and/or exposure
Interest in arts and crafts, exercise, and event planning
Flexibility to cover weekends if need be
Background with dementia in any way a plus
