POSITION PURPOSE
This position is responsible for processing of financial aid documentation for students.
JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing documentation to ensure that each student has funds to pay for tuition, including VA Education Benefits, Military Tuition Assistance (TA), scholarships, etc.
- Monitors submission of FAFSA’s and receipt of ISIRs Campus Financial Aid Officer
- Completes verification in a timely manner for all files selected for verification
- Monitors submission of student MPNs via COD
- Performs group or individual entrance and exit loan counseling
- Maintains and is familiar with current FA regulations to include current Federal Student Aid Handbook
- Regularly reviews incomplete files; ensures that funds are only disbursed when student is eligible
- Monitors student accounts to ensure full packaging
- Monitors expected and past due cash flow to ensure that funding is disbursed as appropriate and in a timely manner
- Meets with all incoming students to start aid process, explains types of aid, gives out and explains necessary forms and documentation Is available to all students for questions, problems, and follow-up on processing, and to refer students to the appropriate staff member for assistance with academic advising
- Any additional task or project assigned by the Campus Director of Compliance & Administration / Campus Assistant Director and / or Campus Executive Director.
