Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and obtaining necessary signatures.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients at delivery locations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and organization.
Skills
- Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Experience in warehouse environments is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans.
- Experience with heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
- Familiarity with using pallet jacks and forklifts for loading and unloading tasks is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
