Estimator for Machine/Sheet Metal Shop

Job Title: Estimator

Pay Rate: $20-$27 per hour

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

We are seeking an experienced Estimator for a machine/sheet metal shop to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for estimating and quoting CNC machining, CNC turning, and sheet metal fabricating parts. Strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret blueprints, and effective communication with suppliers are key to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and symbols.
• Understand the processes required for estimating parts.
• Use computers for communication, research, and information management.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers to gather required information.
• Meet deadlines and ensure accurate estimates.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Document machine setup processes as required.
• Provide training and guidance to other employees.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of related experience or equivalent education/training.
