Forklift Operator – 2nd & 3rd Shift
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. This role requires keen attention to detail, strict adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to collaborate effectively with warehouse supervisors and team members.
We are currently hiring for:
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and pallet jacks, to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking using RF scanners to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assist in building and stacking pallets for shipment, ensuring proper handling techniques.
- Work closely with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and maintain a well-organized workspace.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
- Participate in training programs for heavy equipment operation as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with crane operation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of order picking processes and inventory management systems.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners for inventory tracking.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently.
