What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Engineer - Mechanical (Temporary) position at Employment Solutions?
Employment Solutions is seeking a skilled Product Engineer to join our clients team in Torrington, CT. This is a temporary position that will be lasting 6 months.
Essential Duties:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to draft and design mechanical components
- Develop curing equipment that drives strategic growth initiatives by designing innovative concepts that lead to commercialized new products or technology
- Develop project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely completion
- Deliver on high-quality products to market goals by leading and enforcing robust DFMEA reviews, anticipating product risk, and eliminating customer field issues
- Proficiency in LabView, Simulink, CNC machining, and CAD software
- Fabricate prototypes and conduct testing to validate designs
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 7 years of experience in mechanical product development
- Thorough knowledge of 3D CAD and PDM/PLM systems such SolidWorks Mechanical and SolidWorks EPDM Vault
- Expertise in manufacturing processes including sheet-metal fabrication, stampings, cabling and wire harness construction, printed circuit boards, and machined components
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Expertise in assembly design
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
