We are looking for a professional and motivated Area Manager to oversee and support the collections program and daily operations. This role involves reviewing the delinquent tax target roll, coordinating delinquent tax mailings, ordering titles, and monitoring collection activities. Additionally, the Area Manager will assist taxpayers with delinquent tax accounts, including managing partial payment agreements.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, team player, and strong communicator who is highly organized. They will serve as a liaison and provide client support to the Tax Assessor-Collector and key staff at the Tax Office, Sheriff's Department, and District Clerk's Office.
Position Details:
- Type of Position: Full-Time / Temp-to-Hire
- Salary: $18.84 hourly
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (In-person)
- Location: 1148 Park Street, Beaumont, TX 77701
- Driving Requirement: This is a driving position, with approximately 25% of the time spent on the road. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check will be conducted in addition to a background check, and candidates must have a clear driving record
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Clerical experience (REQUIRED) – Minimum 1–3 years
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) (REQUIRED)
- Property tax experience (Preferred)
- Managerial experience (Preferred)
- 10-Key proficiency
