Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Title Examiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for examining and analyzing property titles to ensure that they are clear and marketable. This role is crucial in the real estate and financial services sectors, as it involves verifying ownership, identifying any liens or encumbrances, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Title Examiner will work closely with loan officers, real estate agents, and clients to facilitate smooth transactions.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze property titles for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct thorough research on property records, contracts, and legal documents.
- Identify any issues related to title defects or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws.
- Collaborate with loan processing teams to facilitate loan origination.
- Communicate findings effectively to clients, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed records of title examinations and findings.
- Stay updated on industry standards, TILA regulations, FNMA guidelines, and best practices.
