JOB DESCRIPTION
The Edibles Packaging Team Member, employed by HR MGMT 10 LLC as the Employer of Record, will work on-site at one of our brand partners' cannabis production facilities. This role is responsible for assisting in the packaging of cannabis-infused gummies and other edibles, ensuring that all activities meet the brand partner’s quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The Edibles Packaging Team Member will follow the direction of the Edibles Packaging Team Lead and Edibles Supervisor to maintain efficient packaging workflows and uphold compliance with state and local regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a packaging or production environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Packaging Support:
- Assist in the daily packaging of cannabis-infused gummies and other edibles, following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards set by the brand partner.
- Operate and maintain packaging equipment, such as filling machines, labeling machines, and other related equipment, under the guidance of the Edibles Packaging Team Lead.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of packaging materials and finished products to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Monitor packaging line performance and report any issues or deviations to the Edibles Packaging Team Lead or Supervisor.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Perform routine quality checks on packaged products to ensure consistency, accuracy, and proper labeling.
- Adhere to all state and local cannabis regulations, as well as the brand partner’s quality standards and SOPs.
- Maintain accurate records of packaging activities, including batch records and quality control checks.
Equipment Maintenance and Cleanliness:
- Assist in the routine cleaning and basic maintenance of packaging equipment and work areas to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues to the Edibles Packaging Team Lead or Supervisor promptly.
Safety and Hazard Management:
- Follow all safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), fire safety protocols, and hazardous material handling procedures.
- Participate in safety drills and training sessions to stay current on emergency response procedures and safety practices.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with the Edibles Packaging Team Lead, Edibles Supervisor, and other packaging staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Participate in team meetings and provide feedback on potential improvements to packaging processes and SOPs.
- Assist with other production and packaging tasks as needed to support overall facility operations and goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience or education in manufacturing, packaging, or a related field is a plus.
- Some experience in a packaging or production environment, preferably in the cannabis, food, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Basic understanding of packaging processes and quality control standards.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 21 years old.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required state-specific certifications for cannabis production and packaging.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks typical of a packaging environment.
