JOB DESCRIPTION
HR MGMT 10, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and proactive In-House Attorney to oversee and manage all legal matters across the organization. This role is responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing intellectual property filings, and addressing pre-litigation matters. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic problem-solver capable of handling a wide range of legal inquiries and ensuring seamless legal support for the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Contract Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate sales, service, intellectual property, and business agreements.
- Ensure contracts align with company policies and legal standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address contract-related needs.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance across all inter-company business activities, including tax, permit, and licensing requirements.
- Monitor and maintain the organization's legal and business standings to meet federal, state, and local regulations.
Intellectual Property Management
- Assist external counsel in filing trademarks, patents, and other intellectual property claims.
- Manage internal processes related to intellectual property protection and strategy.
Legal Matters and Pre-Litigation
- Respond to legal inquiries and matters across all entities in a timely and professional manner.
- Schedule and manage timelines for pressing legal issues.
- Address pre-litigation matters and facilitate a smooth handoff to external litigators when necessary.
General Legal Support
- Serve as the primary legal advisor on all internal legal inquiries within reasonable scope.
- Provide legal guidance to executive leadership and other departments as needed.
- Liaise with external legal counsel on specialized legal matters.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in California
- 3-5 years of experience in corporate or in-house counsel roles, with expertise in contract law, compliance, and intellectual property.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in legal research tools and contract management software.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal compliance regulations.
- Experience with intellectual property filings, including trademarks and patents.
