Job Summary
Provides service to applicants and customers who require assistance with issues involving their Clipper START application and/or replacement card needs. Responsible for providing professional, knowledgeable, and courteous call and email support to all applicants and patrons. This position typically works under close supervision and direction.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Accurately interprets, compiles and performs data entry in processing customer funding transactions
• Analyzing, sorting and verifying the accuracy of data before it is entered
• Processing forms and orders requested by the customer
• Maintains logs of activities and completed work including recording details of comments, inquires, complaints and actions taken
• Manages additional responsibilities including troubleshooting, file back-ups, regular updating, and retrieval of data, as and when required
• Manages and executes customer notifications
• Comfortable with the multi computer applications systems to process task assigned
• Performs other related duties as required
• Maintains confidentiality and adherence to Payment Card Industry standards regarding the information being dealt with
• Strives to achieve 100% accuracy in processing customer applications and requests
• Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work with others in a close manner
• Exceptional keyboard skills and telephone etiquette
• Ability to plan well and prioritize work
Minimum Job Requirements:
High school degree, or equivalent, plus two years' experience in a Customer Service/Call Center. Some college coursework preferred. Able to type with accurate keyboarding/data entry skills and strong computer navigation. Ability to type 40 plus word per minute (WPM). Must be a good team player and possess a positive attitude. Must excel in a fast-paced environment and can work and respond in a high-volume situation. Able to convey clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. Microsoft Office Suite experience is desirable. Good time management, organizational and follow up skills. Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and can work independently when needed.
