Our client is seeking a Senior Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for addressing the dynamic needs of a growing organization by driving process improvement initiatives and contributing to both short-term and long-term strategic planning for the Maintenance Organization. This leader will guide the maintenance team to support material handling, facilities, and daily supply chain operations, using established processes and standard operating procedures to ensure financial and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills, a proven track record in leading maintenance or engineering teams, and a history of delivering successful outcomes that enhance Supply Chain operations.
The Senior Maintenance Manager will be tasked with managing and implementing process improvements that boost efficiency and service delivery, with a focus on supporting operational departments. Additionally, they will establish processes and procedures designed to optimize people, processes, and performance to drive service excellence. This role requires a passion for team leadership, process optimization, and achieving results, as well as the ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels. As the subject matter expert for cutting-edge material handling systems, automation, and electronics equipment within the Distribution Center(s), the Senior Maintenance Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining equipment, ensuring minimal downtime, and preventing operational interruptions. This includes the development and management of a team of managers, hourly associates, and contractors.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions) :
- Lead the execution of strategic objectives, ensuring process improvements align with company goals for growth and profitability.
- Anticipate business needs and performance patterns by closely monitoring maintenance vendor performance and budget management.
- Deliver quality solutions within time, cost, and scope constraints.
- Maintain in-depth technical expertise on existing material handling systems, including package and pallet conveyors, sortation systems, and other specialty equipment.
- Assess and manage risks, including trade-offs between equipment downtime, safety, and budget constraints.
- Ensure all operational areas adhere to health and safety policies and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Quantify the impact of process changes and assess the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
- Manage facilities maintenance services within budget while meeting all contracted KPIs.
