Develops, plans, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the financial functions and performance of the organization. Provides strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization in coordination with the President. Reviews, evaluates and provides recommendations to enhance the organization's administrative and financial internal control systems and ensure audit compliance. Demonstrates and instills Servant Leadership, People Driven, Speak Responsibly, Reveal Potential and Make it better culture throughout the Company.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field, preferred.
- Management experience may be considered as a substitute for a degree
- 5 years’ experience in accounting or related field, preferred
- Working knowledge of Federal law labor issues, including but not limited to, FLSA, SCA, DBA, CBAs, Government contracting in general, preferred Working knowledge of federal law labor issues, including but not limited to : FLSA, SCA, DBA, CBA’s and Government contracting in general preferred
- Knowledgeable in MS Office Suite
- Valid Texas Driver License
Typical Duties
Analyzes and evaluates financial data to prepare month-end and year-end financial reports.Provides timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends; understands expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.Oversees annual audit and provides assistance to external auditors ensuring preparation and maintenance of proper financial records and reports.Uploads payroll tax and 401k contributions timely and accurately; prepares and files annual tax returns or prepares financial information so outside accountants can complete tax returns.Assists with the creation of employee benefit selection sheet with payroll deductions; adjusts and updates employee benefit selections in QuickBooks.Reconciles all bank accounts related to Onsi’s H&W Trust on a monthly basis while maintaining financial records to include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and contract files.Sends quarterly wire / ACH requests to Onsi’s H&W Trustee for payment to Trust client’s 401(k) provider.Manages payments and benefit administration of client’s who pay benefits through the trust.Manages Accounting department to include analyzing and evaluating financial implications of service delivery methods and procedures.Prepares, analyzes and develops cash flow projections, processes, reporting mechanisms and thresholds to meet operating needs.Monitors financial activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels to ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are met.Coordinates and directs the financial planning, budgeting, procurement or investment activities of all or part of the organization.Maintains current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives and current accounting standards.Develops and maintains relationships with banking, insurance and nonorganizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities.Stays current with job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations and maintaining communications with internal and external clients.Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.The above description covers the principal duties and responsibilities of the job.
