Job Summary: The Training Specialist will be responsible for delivering and assessing training programs designed to equip staff members with the skills necessary to effectively engage with TicketHolders participating in the Ticket to Work Program. This position plays a key role in ensuring both staff and participants have the tools and knowledge needed for success.
Job Responsibilities:
· Implement training programs and materials that align with the goals of the Ticket to Work Program, focusing on equipping staff members with the skills to effectively support TicketHolders.
· Facilitate engaging and effective training sessions, workshops, and seminars for staff members on topics such as best practices for working with TicketHolders, employment supports, job readiness, career development, workplace accommodations, and program regulations.
· Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs by gathering feedback from staff and monitoring performance metrics. Use data to continuously improve training content and methods, ensuring staff are fully prepared to assist TicketHolders.
· Contribute to the development of video content by brainstorming ideas and working on messaging to share with TicketHolders and external stakeholders.
· Work closely with other program staff, such as members of leadership, supervisors, Career Development Specialists, and Career Coaches, to ensure a seamless and comprehensive support system for TicketHolders.
· Maintain training resources for staff, including training materials, handouts, and digital materials. Ensure all resources are current, relevant, and accessible for use by staff in their roles supporting TicketHolders.
· Ensure training activities comply with Ticket to Work Program guidelines, federal regulations, and best practices in disability services and employment support.
· Support marketing efforts by helping promote the Ticket to Work Program’s training services to TicketHolders, partner organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance program awareness and participation.
· Deliver ongoing refresher training programs to ensure staff are well-equipped to meet the evolving needs of TicketHolders, enhancing their understanding of services and compliance requirements.
· Facilitate continuous staff development programs, focusing on enhancing knowledge of Employment Network protocols and strategies to better serve TicketHolders' diverse needs.
Required Skills:
· Prefer familiarity with the Ticket to Work Program, as well as principles of career development, adult learning, and disability accommodations.
· Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to create engaging and effective training content.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with a diverse range of participants and professionals.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with virtual training platforms and tools.
· Prefer relevant certifications in training, vocational rehabilitation, or disability services (e.g., Certified Rehabilitation Counselor).
· Prefer experience working with individuals with disabilities and knowledge of specific barriers and solutions related to employment.
Required Experience:
· Prefer a degree in education, Vocational Rehabilitation, Human Services, or a related field.
· Experience in training, education, or vocational rehabilitation, preferably with a focus on individuals with disabilities.
