Requirements:
SUMMARY
The Grant Writer position manages the organization’s active grants for writing, reporting, and researching grants from foundations, corporations, and government funders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Writes funding proposals and prepares supporting materials for submission.
- Research federal and state grant opportunities, private foundation requests for proposals, and foundation interests.
- Research federal and state opportunities for public budget line items.
- Manages staff processes to identify projects and builds relationships with national, state and community partners who are aligned for funding priorities.
- Leads reporting process for all foundation, corporate and federal grants.
- Maintains and grows philanthropy relationships with funders and records activities and opportunities.
- Collaborates with the Finance team to gather financial information/documentation for proposals and reports.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of three years of direct grant writing experience and grants
management preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Other Requirements:
- Experience effectively managing deadlines and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Highly developed attention to detail and organizational/strategic planning skills.
- Positive and collaborative attitude.

Local travel required.
