About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager Lead to provide strategic leadership and oversight to a team of two Program Managers, while also managing select high-priority programs. This role focuses on driving the successful planning and execution of complex, cross-functional projects in the areas of hardware, firmware, mechanical, and test engineering for high-power electric vehicle charging technologies. Acting as both a mentor and leader, the Program Manager Lead will ensure alignment across teams and stakeholders, foster collaboration, and promote best practices in program management.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of two Program Managers, ensuring they have the resources and guidance to succeed.

Provide high-level oversight across all programs, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.

Directly manage a subset of high-priority or strategic programs, from planning through execution.

Drive accountability and performance within the program management team, focusing on quality, delivery, and risk management.

Partner with cross-functional teams—including Hardware, Firmware, QA, Cloud, and App—to facilitate seamless coordination.

Champion program management best practices, tools, and methodologies to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.

Serve as the primary point of escalation for program-related issues and risks, collaborating to develop mitigation strategies.

Act as a liaison with executive leadership, providing regular updates on program status, challenges, and successes.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree or PMP certification preferred.

8 years of experience in program management, including leadership of program management teams.

Proven track record of mentoring and guiding Program Managers to achieve their full potential.

Experience managing technical programs, ideally in safety-critical or high-power applications (e.g., EVSE technologies, battery storage, solar controllers).

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on mitigating risks and delivering results.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging diverse stakeholders and building consensus.

Familiarity with program management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project) and frameworks (Agile, Waterfall).
