Qualifications:
- At least 48 college credit hours or ParaPro Assessment completion.
- Experience with various computer software applications.
- Health and Inoculation Certificate on file.
- Acceptable alternatives as determined by the board.
- Help students and teachers utilize the library's resources.
- Ensure programs align with district guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, especially ELA teachers and parents.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Respond to change productively and complete assigned tasks.
- Support education values and USD 253's vision and mission.
- Prolonged sitting or standing required.
- Occasional physical exertion to move heavy objects.
- Stooping, bending, and reaching occasionally required.
- Balancing occasionally required.
- Work indoors and outdoors year-round.
- Work in noisy and crowded environments.
- Assist in supervising students in the library.
- Prepare and present library skills lessons with the librarian.
- Order books, materials, equipment, and supplies for the library.
- Conduct inventory, processing, and card cataloging.
- Supervise book checkout and monitor overdue items.
- Facilitate hallway traffic and support Emporia Public Schools' mission and vision.
- Work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and community agencies.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and laws.
- Stay current with new technologies and regulatory requirements.
- Enforce board policy, administrative procedures, and school rules.
- Maintain safe and organized instructional spaces.
- Communicate positively about the school program.
- Complete other duties assigned by the Librarian or Administrative Staff.
Salary : $16
