Job Summary:
A Physical Therapy Assistant is required to deliver high-quality care to our residents at Emporia Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Emporia, VA. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT, adhering to state practice guidelines.
Assist PT in identifying suitable patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
Document patient participation and progress on progress notes in an accurate and timely manner, obtaining the co-signature of the PT.
Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications, and discharges.
Assist with other documentation requirements as indicated and according to state guidelines.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university recognized by the APTA.
Current licensure and/or registration in the state.
