The Licensure Solutions Officer at Emporia State University is a year-round, salaried, administrative position located in Emporia, Kansas.
The Licensure Solutions Officer reports to the Director of the Office of Field Placement and Licensure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary responsibilities may include:
- Process and document licensure applications with the Kansas State Department of Education
- Advise and support students in the Restricted License and LERP programs
- Process waiver applications for advanced licensure programs
- Oversee and maintain data for licensure and accreditation
- Serve as the lead for background check clearance processes for candidates
- Serve as licensing liaison between ESU alums, current student teachers, faculty, staff, and state departments of education

Serve on committees in The Teachers College or Emporia State
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- 4 years of related experience at a college or university or a minimum of 4 years experience as a teacher or administrator in a K-12 school setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn teacher licensure systems, processes, and assessment reporting in Kansas
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution
- Knowledge of teacher education landscape in the state of Kansas

Knowledge of operation of university systems and academic education programs
COMPENSATION:
- Salary: $43,403 - $54,254 annually
- Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
