What are the responsibilities and job description for the Women's Soccer Graduate Assistant position at Emporia State University?
Emporia State University is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Women's Soccer Graduate Assistant for the 2025-26 academic year. The Women’s Soccer Graduate Assistant will support the head coach in various aspects of the program while pursuing a full-time graduate degree, gaining valuable coaching and administrative experience in a collegiate athletic environment.
POTENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with Practice Planning and Execution: Assist in designing and conducting daily training sessions to support team development
• Goalkeeper Training: Work closely with goalkeepers to further their development and implement targeted training programs
• Player-Coach Liaison: Act as a point of communication between players and coaching staff to foster a positive team environment
• Film and Data Recording & Analysis: Record practices and games, track statistics, analyze footage, and oversee the use of GPS trackers to inform performance improvement
• Graphics and Social Media Management: Develop engaging graphics and manage social media accounts to promote the program and highlight team achievements
• Academic Monitoring: Oversee player academic progress, ensure eligibility compliance, and provide resources to support academic success
• Event Coordination: Assist with planning and execution of team events, camps, and community outreach initiatives.
• Recruiting Support (if applicable): Aid in identifying, evaluating, and communicating with potential recruits
• Other Responsibilities as Needed: Take on additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of the program
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong academic record for admission to an Emporia State University graduate program
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
• Collegiate or high-level playing experience (goalkeeper experience preferred)
• Availability to work evenings and weekends
• Experience with Hudl, Wyscout, and STATSports or similar platforms (preferred not required)
COMPENSATION: This position includes a tuition waiver for the graduate program and a monthly stipend.
