About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Operations Program Manager (OPM) to lead New Product Introduction (NPI) development for an exciting new product program. The OPM will coordinate with multiple disciplines internally, our overseas manufacturer, and other external parties to ensure Operational readiness throughout the phase-gate development process.
The ideal profile of this position calls for a flexible and well-rounded individual—someone who is self-motivated, detailed oriented, collaborative, and has a breadth of technical understanding in Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead and influence cross-functional coordination and communication between
- Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing to drive
- overall system readiness through the product life cycle phases.
- Responsible for the operational readiness of new production. Plan and execute production
- validation builds, mass production readiness and signoff, and scaling and sustaining high volume production.
- Manage the overall capacity plan, including coordination of equipment, fixtures, and
- materials for Ramp.
- Drive solutions and schedule to problems: develop clear problem statements, project
- requirements, milestone schedules, and documentation to support decision-making and
- facilitate implementation.
- Develop, optimize, track, and communicate integrated program schedules, while effectively managing dependencies and handoffs.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Program Manager to identify technical/operational risks and communicate mitigation strategies with critical program stakeholders.
- Be proactive, pay attention to the details, and ensure you are enabling teams across
- different functions to make smart and timely decisions. Stay on top of many moving pieces without letting anything drop.
Requirements
- BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing &
- Operations Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in successfully leading consumer electronics products into mass production and shipping high-volume hardware programs at scale with ODM or JDM partners overseas. Experience working with partners in India is a plus.
- Familiarity with consumer electronics manufacturing processes and phase-gate
- development processes (EVT, DVT, PVT).
- Self-motivated team member who can drive resolution to issues with strong problem-solving skills.
- History of collaboration across technical & non-technical teams with strong relationship
- building skills.
- Ability to communicate technical issues in a clear manner to an executive audience.
- Versed in project planning tools, such as SmartSheets.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for issue tracking and project summary.
- Familiarity with PLM systems for BOM and E/MCO management, such as Arena.
- Ability to travel to overseas manufacturing partners and suppliers as needed.

Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
